Thank you for your interest in my images of Panama. While on an LDS mission during 1995-1997, I fell in love with the people, culture and land of Panama. Over the following years, I struggled to find high quality photography or information about Panama and came to the conclusion that it is one of the best kept secrets in the world. On a recent vacation to Panama, I have tried to capture the essence of this beautiful and enchanting place. I hope that you will agree that I have made a good start, but there are litterally hundreds of other images that I still want to capture and many other areas of Panama for me to yet discover.

Most individuals featured in these photos are personal friends of mine and have not signed model releases nor received monitary compensation. If you have questions about the people or places, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. You might also check the description tab at the bottom of each photo for more details (although I have not added descriptions to every photo yet). All photos are copyrighted and may not be used for anything other than your personal enjoyment. If you would like to purchase particular images for commercial or advertising purposes, please contact me to discuss the intented usage and associated fees.

My Camera Equipment:
I primarily shoot the Canon 10D 6.3 megapixel camera with the vertical battery grip, an extra battery and a 1GB compact flash card. Occasionally I also use the Canon EOS A2 film camera for extreme wide angle or extremely long exposures. I almost never use filters other than a polarizer, but do a moderate amount of digital color correction and retouching to ensure that each image reflects the actual scene as closely as possible or to remove distracting elements. Here is a list of the lenses and accessories that I use:
Canon 28-135mm IS all-purpose zoom lens
Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 telephoto lens
Sigma 15-30mm 3.0-4.5 super wide angle lens
Canon 25mm extension tube for macro conversion
Sigma 2x teleconverter
Canon Speedlight 550EX off camera flash
Manfrotto tripod
